Nevada

We arrived in Las Vegas in the middle of February.  Before coming to NV we spent a month in Tempe, AZ.  Mark & Marisa are expecting their first child and we came for a shower.  Julie and Shelly drove in from California so I had 3 out of 4 children with me.  We had spent time with Chuck while we were in Arizona.

Marisa's mother, Mora and her Grandmother, Mary came from Missouri for the shower.  There was a Hawaiian theme to the shower.  They received a lot of nice things for the baby.  The baby is due May 5th.

I made a Dr. Suess quilt for the baby and I knitted her a sweater.

My friend Sue came to Las Vegas for a couple days so we met for lunch at Harrah's Oyster Bar.  We spent lots of time talking and catching up.  We also took this opportunity to celebrate our upcoming Birthdays.  Hers is the 28th and mine is the 29th.  We had a great time and it was hard to leave.

We decided to stay in Nevada until the baby is born.  The first couple weeks we spent at Sams Town in Las Vegas but then we moved out to Pahrump on March 1st where it is cheaper to stay.  We can stay in Pahrump for a month for what it cost us to stay for a week in Las Vegas.
