April has already been busy for us.  Skip's Elks Lodge swore in a new Exaulted Ruler and we were involved in some of the computer work and decorating.  The ceremony was really nice and the dinner was outstanding.

 

Julie and Wade are at Lake Tahoe celebrating their anniversary so we are helping out with the girls.  They take care of themselves but need someone to drive them here and there and of course to be there at night.  It has been a good bonding experience.

 

To catch up a little, here are some pictures I took at Shelly's on Easter Sunday.

 

 

Have been doing some volunteer work at the local Elks Lodge.  Meeting new people.  Plan on taking the RV to Sugar Barge with the RV group at the lodge next weekend.

 

Skip, Shelly & Julie celebrated their Birthdays on the 10th, 11th & 15th.  Couldn't get together with Shelly but went to Jackson, CA with Julie for her Birthday.  Still plan on celebrating Shelly's Birthday when we can fit it in to everyone's busy schedule.

 

This weekend there is a lot going on at the lodge so we will spend some time doing the stuff there.  Our plans may change and if there is enough help here then we will head south to watch Brett play soccer.  Big tournament!!  From there we want to go see Shelly and family.  Grandson Ryne has been diagnosed with Rheumothoid Arthritis and we need to see him.  He is going through a lot of tests, etc.

 

We took a trip to Jackson, California.  It is so pretty there.  All of the wild flowers are in bloom.  Can you believe I didn't have my camera!  You can still see snow on the tops of the mountains in the distance.  There is a neat little kitchen store that Sue likes to go to plus the normal candy shops.  Sue has a weakness for divinity!

 

Lucas has been having some medical issues.  Skip found a lump on Lucas' jowl so off to the vet he went.  They gave him medicine that needs to be applied for a couple weeks and then it will be back to the vet.  They want to remove the lump and do a biopsy if it doesn't go down.  He is wearing a hood so he doesn't scratch.  Looks so miserable.  Don't worry he still has his spring and manages to get his own way.  He has a new toy that he likes to chase around.  We try to tire him out as much as possible or is he tiring us out!  Whatever it works for all of us.
