August started out hot...in the 90's.  Nothing like that triple digit temperatures we had in July though.  Still keeping busy with the lodge.  There is always something going on so it's easy to keep busy.

 

I finished the quilt and then whipped up a tote bag to go with it. I made these for my best friend, Paula.  It was fun to work with different techniques.  Now if I could only master them.  I liked using photo fabric.  It goes into the inkjet printer.  You print out your picture and then pull off the paper and it's actually printed on fabric.  I also made a custom label with Heather's picture and then wrote a few words about the inspiration for the quilt.  I already have my fabric for my next quilt.  It is small squares and I'm hoping this one doesn't drive me too crazy.  Below is a picture of the quilt and the tote bag I made for Paula.
