As you can imagine, we are missing the road. There are so many places we still want to see but with the gas prices
the way they are right now....well, you know what I mean. Put gas in the car the other day for $4.39 a gallon!
Hope to travel up to Oregon and visit friends in Sutherlin. Want to pick blackberries and make some jelly. Not sure
when that will happen but we are both wanting to travel. Then there is a trip to Vegas in late August. From there
we don't know yet.
Sue did go with Julie and Paige to Reno for a couple days. Paige was in a dance competition. She won first
place overall for Seniors. (Gals that's seniors as in teenagers not in our age!) We were continually on the go
and didn't have a chance to call or see any Reno friends. We were eating dinner at 10 pm! It was fun.
We will be celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary on the 29th of this month. We don't have any special plans
but will probably go out for dinner.
Haven't taken any pictures lately so nothing to add. I am Beginning to sound boring.
I have been working on a special project. Should have been doing it before but several things came up. I
have to admit it feels good to see it almost completed. Aleta, Della, Nancy, Trudie, Denise, Amy, Judy and Sue, I will
send you a picture as soon as I finish it. It looks nice. Thanks to Trudie for all her advice and support as I
worked on this. I will put a picture on here as soon as I can.
I have signed up to take a quilting class. Skip just cringes when I mention one more project. I have been
playing around with quilting and really enjoy it but I know I need the class so I will do it right.
I am knitting a sweater for Kennedy. Hopefully, she doesn't out grow it before I finish it. She is going
through a growing spurt this summer.
We have planted tomatoes in containers. One of them is upside down. It hangs out of the bottom on a bucket.
Found it on the internet and thought we would try it.
Pagie just got back from Phoenix where she learned the dance routines she will perform on a cruise. She will be
working on a cruise that leaves from Florida. She was also chosen to participate in the teen program in NY for the Rockettes.
She had to turn that down because of all her other committments. Brett is going to soccer camp for the state Olympic
Development Program.
Jessica and Brandon are still excelling at swimming. Ryne has finished his first year of college. he has
been battling with RA but is making great progress. The key is to keep active and watch his diet.
That's about all for now.
