Where does one go from Phoeniz?

Here it is already April.  April is a very busy month for us with our Birthdays, Shelly and Julies' Birthdays, Julie and Wade's Anniversary and Mark and Marisa's Anniversary this month!!!  Not doing to much today.  Went out for breakfast and to the desert to take pictures of cactus.  Chuck went to the Tempe Art Festival.  Snowbirds are starting to go back up north.  Will update the website when we can.

April 18th    We have been busy.  Went to a casting call for Deal or No Deal.  We arrived around 7 a.m. and they weren't going to see the first person until 1 p.m.  There were approximately 1,000 people there ahead of us.  We decided not to stand in the hot sun for 6+ hours for a 30 second interview.  Before the day was over there were over 10,000 people there hoping to get a chance on the show.  We spent some time in the casino before calling it a day.  It was Skip's Birthday so he wanted to go to the Casino.  We went to dinner at Oregano's in Tempe and had great pizza.  The place plays old music and movies from the 40's, 50's and early 60's.  It was fun.  Chuck has moved into his apartment and is busy getting settled.  We are leaving today for Nevada to visit Mark and Marisa before heading back home to California.  Will try to update when I can....

April 23rd     We arrived in Las Vegas on the afternoon of the 18th.  Mark came over with a present for Lucas on Thursday.  Lucas was so excited to see him he just would not settle down so Mark rubbed him behind the ears until he calmed down.  We had dinner with Mark, Marisa and Mora (Marisa's mother) on Friday.  Mora was celebrating her 50th Birthday.  It was really nice to see everyone.  Our friends, Ilona and Mark, arrived on Friday and were camped just a couple spaces from us.  We did lots of talking and eating.  The wind got really bad the day we were to leave so we stayed two more days.  Plus the fact that we had a flat tire when we were getting ready to leave.  Naturally, it happened on Sunday and none of the tire repair shops were open.  They came today and repaired the tire.  There was a slow leak in the valve of the back inside tire.  Our car/rv insurance covered the cost so that helps.  Now we will slowly make our way back home.

April 25th   Happy Anniversary  Mark and Marisa

We are now back in California in the Yosemite area.  We are at a park about 25 miles from Yosemite in Coarsegold.  We plan on being here for a week or so.  Looks like some HOT weather is coming so we wanted to try and go where it's a little cooler.  This was Skip's idea; I wanted to head to the beach!!  Forgot to mention before we left Vegas we spent some time cleaning.  Found lots of dust and dog hair everywhere!!!  Windows are much easier to see out of and sofa is a lighter color.  Amazing where all the dirt comes from.

April 28th   Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Sue
April 29th   Happy Birthday to me, Sue

April 30th   Hard to believe I have reached the grand old age of 62!  Time sure goes by quickly.  Skip took me out for brunch.  We had a nice quiet day.  The weather is cooling down to the high 70's this week.  We plan on staying here another week and then going to Monterey.  Jessica graduates from middle school in June and her brother, Ryne graduates from high school the next day so we will be heading over to Hollister for that.  Not much going on with us right now.  Just trying to age gracefully!!!
