On Sunday, we had been here for one week. Time really does go by fast. We have seen so much but there
is so much more to see. I can't imagine we have enough time!
This was day where everyone went in totally different directions. I was starting to feel really burned out so I
decided to stay in this area. Paula was going to an Episcopal Church in Harlem. Julie and Paige were going to
Columbia University. College isn't that far away for Paige! After everyone left, I decided to go to Mass.
There was a Catholic Church about 10 blocks away...Holy Trinity. I arrived about 10 minutes before mass started...just
enough time to take some pictures. Surprised? After mass, I walked uptown to Carmine's restaurant. I had
heard Tony Danza talk about this restaurant when he had a talk show. We didn't get a chance to eat there but I have
added it to my list of things to see and do next time I'm in NY. I took a lot of pictures of the area. All
of the markets have fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables outside the stores. Quite a change from Callifornia where everything
is inside unless you are in a rural area and see a fruit stand. Everyone returned and we all exchanged stories of our
day. Paula had some beautiful paintings she bought while in Harlem. Julie and Paige told us all about Columbia.
After we all rested for a few minutes, it was time to head downtown. This was the day that Paige was to take the dance
class at Broadway Dance. The class that Nick Lazzarinni ended up teaching. After the class, we went to Chipolte
for dinner.
