December Birthdays..... December 2nd is Paige's Birthday
December 10th is Wade's Birthday
Can you tell I'm not in the holiday spirit this year? It may be the economy or it may be the fact that Christmas
trees were up and Christmas songs were playing in the stores in the middle of October. We did put our Christmas tree
up the day after Thanksgiving. It's a 3 foot artifical tree and is positioned on the dashboard of the motorhome.
As the month progresses I'm sure I'll get into the spirit. Sue has her first holiday party on the 4th with former co-workers
in San Jose. So the festivities will begin!
Paula picked up her new puppy. She got a Pappion and named her Puzzle. Paula also has a 10 year old Westie
named Heather. Heather welcomed Puzzle the first day by nipping her on the nose. Here is a picture of "Puz".

We chose not to work this holiday season and we are really happy about that. We have several holiday parties to
attend and Sue will have to shop for a new dress! Sue has written our Christmas letter and will be mailing the cards
out this week.
December 7th....Sue attended her Retirement Association Holiday Luncheon on Thursday. It was so nice to see so
many people. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictues. Maybe next time. I saw Aleta, Deborah, Amy, Sue,
Fran & Pete, Russ & Martha, Bob & Sharon and Dave & Judy.
The gas prices are continuing to drop here in Tracy. Yesterday, we filled up the car and the gas was $1.56 per
gallon. Of course, we are waiting for the other shoe to drop and the prices to start going back up.
Sue met with her friends for a Christmas breakfast. It was nice to
see everyone but there wasn't enough time to visit. I think we may try to do this every couple months. It was
fun.

We headed to Arizona to visit with Chuck for a couple days before Christmas. It was really nice to spend time with
him. While there we were able to see Ilona, Mark, Karen and Frank. Next we went up to Nevada where we spent a
few days with Mark and Marisa. Marisa made a great turkey dinner on Christmas day. Mark had to work later in the
day so Skip went to the casino where he was able to take home the same amount as he went in with. While he was playing,
Marisa and I went to the movies and saw Marley and Me. It was a really good movie but a little hard on me having just
lost Lucas. If you are looking for a good movie this is the one ...you will laugh but you will also cry. Just
be prepared with those tissues!!
We didn't get any pictures of our sons or daughter-in-law but we did take a drive into the hills along the Colorado Rivier
on the California side, where we saw coyote and burro.
New Year's Eve was spent at the Elks Lodge where we drank, dined and danced until the New Year was celebrated in NEW
YORK. It has become a tradition where the lodge celebrates at 9 p.m. (midnight NY time). It gives people a chance
to attend this party and then leave and go to other parties or home to bed. Whichever they chose. We walked home
around 10 and then watched a movie. Another year behind us....
