Where does time go???

October Birthdays...Kennedy turned 11 and Jessica turned 14.  Happy Birthday girls!!

Time sure has a way of getting away from you when you are continually busy.
Skip is now a caretaker at the Elks Lodge.  This keeps him really busy with yard work, taking care of the RV park, etc.  The plan is to stay here for a while and move on when it feels right.  I think our children have a pool going on how long we will stay in one place!!!  Personally, I give us until spring.

Sue took a week and flew to Las Vegas.  Spent some quality time with Mark and Marisa.  Mark still holds the title of "Scrabble Winner"..  He beat me twice and Marisa once.  There is always next time.  They showed off their culinary skills.  Marisa made some killer chili and an awesome BBQ Chicken Pizza with a wheat crust.  She gave me the recipes so I can try to make them at home.  Mark marinated a tri-tip steak with his secret home-made marinate.  It was awesome!!  Marisa and I spent our time doing genealogy, watching TV and talking while Mark was at work.  Marisa and I checked out Bodies!! It is an exhibit of REAL human bodies.  It really was amazing.

Brett has been playing soccer every weekend.  So far they are undefeated.  I really don't understand soccer but we go to support her.  Paige took her PSAT test last weekend.  We took Kennedy to the pumpkin patch and bought 3 pumpkins.  Not the usual orange pumpkins for her.  1 white with orange stripes, 1 white and 1 gray pumpkin.  Ryne is enjoying college but has had a bout with the flu the last couple days. He is swimming on the college team.  Brandon took his PSAT tests and is still swimming.  Jessica is enjoying her freshman year of high school and is on the Monterey swim team.

Lucas turned 6 on Friday and we forgot!  Terrible parents!

We are going to work for Hickory Farms again this year.  Skip is the store manager and I will work for him.  Russ will probably be giving Skip lots of sympathy since I worked for him for 16 years.  Worked is a very loose term!!  Julie is also going to work there.

My brother, John is experiencing very serious medical problems.  Thank you all for your prayers.

October 29th   The month is almost over.  Fall is my favorite time of the year.  Today I plan on making a pot of soup.  Of course, it will probably be close to 80 here in CA.  Yesterday, I met Shelly and Jessica at the mall.  We ate lunch and did a little shopping.
Today I have my "official" interview for my seasonal job.  Sure hope I make a good impression.
