I remember I was there but which day?

Here it is the middle of August and I'm still trying to put the information in about the July New York trip.  I know that we went to a lot of places but I really am getting confused about when!!!

Sue and Paula at the theatre

Friday was a short day for Paige, so we just hung around the suite until she finished her classes.  In the afternoon, we took the subway downtown to Times Square so we could try to get tickets to another show.  We decided that we wanted to see Curtains with David Hyde Pierce.  One of my favorite actors.  I loved him as Niles in the TV show Frasier.  We went to the discount ticket line and got four mezzanine tickets for the 8 pm show.  You can get 1/2 price tickets on the day of the performance.  When the tickets are over $100 this is a good deal.  Standing in the "cattle" line for 1/2 an hour was worth it.  We did some shopping at the gifts shops, ate a light dinner and then Haagen Daz's ice cream for dessert.  Paula and I walked down restaurant row in the theatre district.  This is someplace I would like to eat next time I'm in the City.  The show was absolutely fantastic.  I had seen reviews of this show on the Regis and Kelly show and it was all that I expected.

Saturday Paula wanted to go back downtown to see if she could get a ticket to see Chorus Line.  Meanwhile, Julie, Paige and I headed towards Greenwich Village.  Paula was able to get a ticket for the matinee.  She also came down to Greenwich Village but we never touched bases while in that area.  That evening we went to a local diner in the upper west side for dinner.

Once a women's prison now a library

While in Greenwich Village I took several pictures of different buildings and the fire escapes.  I find the buildings to be fasinating!  There also was a library that was a former women's prison.  During our walk we came across street vendors...the different food smells were out of this world.  There also were lots of restaurants that had outside dining areas.  All of these things make for good pictures to me...Skip doesn't always agree.
